Institute Agenda

The STAGR Center’s Simplifying Standards-Based Grading Institute is a comprehensive two-day experience designed to equip new and veteran educators with the tools and strategies needed to simplify the implementation of standards-based grading (SBG) in their classrooms, schools and districts. Research has shown that standards-based grading offers a powerful framework to ensure consistent, accurate, learning-focused and meaningful (O’Connor, 2023) within our classrooms. However, navigating the complexities of SBG can often be daunting for educators to fully understand and envision what it looks like in action. This institute aims to demystify the process and empower teachers to confidently integrate SBG into their classrooms and buildings to strengthen communication with students and their caregivers.
