Event Description
Paraprofessionals are essential to the success of every school. As schools continue to evolve, those in support roles are being called upon to lead with heart, purpose, and clarity. This virtual session, led by nationally recognized educator and author Sarah Johnson, is designed specifically for paraprofessionals seeking to deepen their impact and align their daily work with the powerful Culturize framework by Jimmy Casas.
Rather than focusing on mandates or checklists, Jessica invites participants to reflect on their "why" and gain practical, uplifting strategies they can use immediately—no matter their setting or experience level.
Participants will explore how to bring the 4 Core Values of Culturize to life in their unique role:
Champion for Students – See every student as capable and worthy. Build trust through empathy and presence.
Expect Excellence – Set a high standard by modeling what you want to see. Never settle for “just enough.”
Carry the Banner – Speak positively about your school and your team. Be someone others are proud to work alongside.
Merchant of Hope – Believe in others—even when they struggle—and remind them of their potential.
This inspiring and practical session will help paraprofessionals walk away with a renewed sense of purpose, stronger tools for student connection, and a mindset to carry into the 2025–26 school year with confidence and hope.
