OUR STORY

Thousands and thousands of districts across North America and the globe have spent time, effort and resources over the several decades to support their leaders within their districts. And while the effort has been there, the application of highly effective leadership practices can be foggy for educators at all levels of the system. At The Leadership Center, we help leaders connect their leadership actions to the changes in practice that students, educators, district staff and community members can observe in our schools and classrooms. This ultimately leads to higher levels of learning for ALL students.

Based on the thinking of Cale Birk and Dr. Garth Larson, Observable Leadership has been implemented successfully in schools all over the world. Through the use of five collaborative questions, schools and districts can and will have a stronger sense of efficacy for the students they serve.  The Leading for Observable Impact process includes the following questions for school leaders.

  • What’s Our Vision for Leadership?

  • What’s Our Evidence Based Reality

  • What’s Our Learning we can engage in to better support those we serve?

  • What’s Our Action?

  • What’s Our Observable Impact we can see in our buildings?

The Leadership Center empowers team leaders, school leaders and district leaders to develop their leadership capacity to improve teaching and learning by connecting their actions to impact in their classrooms with students and educators.

MISSION

The Leadership Center's Mission is to provide school and district leaders with the necessary tools and protocols to lead at the highest level on behalf of all students and educators within their schools and districts.

VISION

Our Vision at The Leadership Center is to ensure that school and district leaders globally feel confident, competent and empowered to meet the diverse needs of all educators and communities they serve. By providing a clear process with practical tools and protocols, ALL leaders can and will connect their actions as leaders to the impact they wish to see in their buildings.
